Yes, they do employ you, and no, they don't send you any junk mail. The only mailing I get off them is my payslip with all the tax and what not deducted. Plus they also give you holiday pay per mystery shop. Is that good or what?

Retail-Maxim is good. I have had 2 assignments off them in 3 days. Hurrah!

what sort on payment do you get per job and how much is then taken off for tax? What do you mean that they give you holiday pay per job?

    Do Retail-maxim also employ you?

A lot of their jobs dont give you any fee >:-( , just a free meal, but sometimes they do pay a few quid (on a par with other companies)
Holiday pay means you actually get a percentage extra (40/50p ish) on each job with a fee (because you're employed, not a contractor).
If they're not your main employer tax is taken off on a standard BR tax code -22%

Retail maxim = no, not employed by them... you have to be self employed
  • I got accepted my retail-maxim last week but i haven't been sent any details eg. login. Am I supposed to be waiting for something in the post?

They will not send you any login details. The work is given out by phone. Sometimes they will ask you to input the results into their website other times you will have a call back by a person who will type up your results for you.
Very good company to work for I think. You have to pay your own tax again but they do email you payslips.

Did anyone manage to get any jobs yesterday for a place you buy wine with RE? Trying to work out whether I haven't ticked something on my profile - I know a man and a woman who have got them - £5 bottle of wine would have come in v. handy just before Xmas:confused:

Not sure if they're only available in West Mids, or I just missed the boat:mad:

You might be too old/young for the shopper they want - they offer jobs to people with different 'specs' if you know what I mean! My dad often gets things that I don't and vice-versa...
