  • ABA send cash through the post.

I did an assignment for ABA for a clothes shop and they sent me a gift voucher for that shop through the post.

Besides TNS and the old NOP, does anyone know of any other MS companies that pay with PAYE, as opposed to a contractor/self-employed basis?

I think DQM and Storecheckers do.

I used to think that too, but I think with RE you just have to be quick and log on at the right times. I found that they have no jobs showing for 4-5 days and then a lot will be added that have to be completed in the next day or two.

I think of then a similar to GR. Keep checking and fingers crossed!

Oh, and I think they have some of the better jobs (mmm sandwiches!) but the reports are getting ridiculous!

    AMEN!!

How does (shop) compare with your usual place on quality/service/convenience? RUBBISH QUESTION!! The problem is if you've accepted a few of these jobs, you have to come up with different answers for these questions despite them being general ones!
  • They have also started adding silly minimum word counts to questions, but don't tell you this until you go to close the job, you spend the next 20 minutes trying to expand "the member of staff did not approach me" into 500 words.

And don't get me started on the proof reading issues...
RE: You have selected the answer two for question 27 - Hoe many XXX add-on did the member of staff discuss? but for the text option you have written the member of staff discussed making and receiving international calls. Can you tell me what the other add on is?
ME: That is two, making international calls and receiving internationals calls.
RE: Is that two different things?
ME: According to the brief, Yes!
    RE: I'll have to check!
    *HOLD*
RE: Yes, that is two, thankyou! :wall::wall:
(Oh, and thats minues 2 points from a points system that I have no idea what it is for!)

    Sorry! Rant over!

I had one (from the same shop as you're talking about I think) where the guy was brilliant - friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and polite. He himself scored very highly on my report, but he didn't mention the tariff they wanted him to mention, which I also reported back on.

There was a question right at the end that asked me to rate my experience 1-10 so I gave it a 9 (not 10 because I had to wait a little before being spoken to) and sent the report.

I got a proofreading query, the girl asked me why I'd rated it a 9 as the guy didn't mention the tariff - I told her I answered the question "how would you rate your visit" - it was brilliant! Whether the guy recommended a particular tariff didn't affect my visit at all - although it obviously affected their report!

I think MS companies forget we're supposed to be posing as mystery shoppers and that we're supposed to report back on the experience a regular paying customer would have had - my experience was great, it's their problem that he didn't say what they wanted him to say!

I generally hate proofreading though; it's usually because they've asked the wrong question in the first place or that they haven't given you the option to elaborate (in GAP's case mainly) and they want more info.

I wish they'd trust reports more sometimes, like when the restaurant says "we definitely did a check back" to RE and they phone to question me about it - why would I have lied?!!

    (that was a long post! :o )
