Im just working my way through all my University work, having a good clear out. I have came across my dissertation:eek: i did only a year ago on trauma, it has alot in it about PTSD, Traumas people go through, whether it be seeing someone you love die, or havin cancer yaself, or people in chronic pain. As some of you may know I create pieces of work about issues i have been in or through, some very personal. One person I researched was an artist called Deborah Padfield, she is a chronic pain sufferer, and did a project with people who were suffering both mentally and physically. I got in touch with Deborah through email, and she was a great help in helping me understand pain, but more importantly understanding myself. And the sheer fact she took the time to help me with my dissertation by getting back to me, made me feel like i was somehow important :D:D

Anyhoo I think sometimes we all end up, me included thinking about the bad things. When I look at it, and look how much work i did at uni and the marks i got. when at the start of uni i had been sexually assaulted and hit down pretty bad, i still kept going, it was me that had the strength to keep going. And I got my degree, even tho i went through hell while at uni, i got through it all, and im still standing :T :T :T :D

'Whatever pain achieves, it achieves in part through its unsharibility, through its resistence to language....to have great pain is to have certainty, to hear that another person has pain is to have doubt'.

"I try to talk, but they do not listen
I try to speak but they do not believe
I try to scream but im 'making a fuss'
I try to be honest, but they dont notice
How do I make them understand?'
