Prize Limits

I was reading through the T&Cs for a comp I have been fortunate enough to win and came across this;
"Prize Limits. No person or persons at the same residential address may win more than one prize valued at £500 or more via any of our Competitions in any six (6) month period."
I must admit that I only usually scan-read T&Cs but I've never seen anything to that effect before, not an issue (just have to remember not to bother entering any comps from them for a while) but just wondered whether the more-seasoned compers would know if this is a rarity or more prevalent than I realised?

A lot of the radio comps have that rule, Classic FM certainly does.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

That's common across the Bauer and Global radio groups (Kiss, Kerrang, Magic, Heart, Capital etc)0

I won with Heart fm and in my congratulations letter it does state at the bottom that I can not enter any comps for 6 months as my prize was over £500. It didn't say anything about anyone else in my household entering though.
May have to go revisit their T&C as my partner (not that he knows) has been entering Heart competitions since LOL"Knowledge will give you power, but character respect" ~ Bruce Lee0 -
Heart are part of Global same as Capital, they both haveyou, or any member of your family residing at the same address as you (including, but not limited to, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents), have won a Prize valued at £500 or greater within a period of six months prior to the closing date of the Competition.
Any entries made in contravention of this clause 2.2 will not be valid0 -

Best stop entering on his behalf then"Knowledge will give you power, but character respect" ~ Bruce Lee0 -
Interesting, sounds like it's not that unusual then. I'll keep a closer eye on the T&Cs in case I'm lucky enough to win anything else.0
