Nuit des Musees

This Saturday is European-wide Night of the Museums. There are many late night openings across Europe, with many Museums open until 1 am, and offering free entry, both to the permanent collections, and some special exhibitions.

I'm off to Paris on Saturday and just discovered that many museums such as the Louvre, Pompiodu and Picasso museum are free, saving us quite a lot of money. The event seems to be quite low key outside of France, but is probably worth checking out for any travellers this weekend. I would have posted earlier if I had known about the event !
Rather disappointing that there are not many free events in the UK, although there are some things around the country.

i know they are doign this at Manchester Museum on Saturday, but the event for watching the movie " night at the Museum" is fully booked, as tried to book for me and the kids.
