Replacement Certificates?

I've recently been trying to get hold of some replacement certificates for some that I've misplaced over the years, for which the registrars want about £30 each time.

I personally feel that this is a bit steep (how much admin can there be?) for something that is essentially mine anyway, and was wondering if there is a cheaper way of doing it? Or perhaps maybe it could be claimed that the charge is unfair in a way similar to what people are doing with banks at the moment.

Anybody have any ideas/thoughts?

Thanks

Dan

nope and usually it's £40. A law unto themselves and a cartel, sorry.

The main part of the charge is an indemnity against fraud, not the admin work. Don't think you'd succeed with an unfair claim.
