Where are they when they're round, in the living rooms/kitchen or up in their own rooms?

We have my daughters friends staying over most weekends and holidays...I can not remember when we last had a night when someone was not staying..
We have the room though and do not see them unless i is for food or money...Ps I do not mind at all..But if the house was smaller i might think different..
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
  • What days do your kids stay at *their* partners houses?? That would be the crux of it for me, as for every night I suffered not-so-nice girlfirneds company, I'd also want one night off!

Can you declare one night a week a "no guest zone" so that you get to chill, and maybe I would suggest doing giant communal sunday roast with all kids and partners to set a routine & precedent when they are expected to stay?

My brother does that with his girlfriend. They always seem to be over here even when her house is empty and it gets so irritating after a while. They hog the bathroom and expect us to have our dinner early so they can have the kitchen to themselves. And when they're not in the bathroom or kitchen they're watching Family Guy downstairs when they could flippin' watch it on his bigger telly upstairs.

I have no advice since nothing works here

(she's perfectly lovely. It's my darling brother who never wants to go out and thinks 6 hours of Family Guy makes for a great date)

    I love having son's friends/GF round.
I love that he's happy to bring them & that they are comfortable & relaxed here.

He will be gone one day soon & i'm enjoying the bustle while it lasts.

I would announce that guest are welcome on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursdays only.

They are most likely to be out on a proper date on a Friday/Saturday night, so that only leaves Monday and Wednesdays where they can visit their girlfriends or see other friends.
