Pro-Rata Refund of Rent?

My OH and I moved in together on 29th March and she gave her previous flat mate 2 weeks notice but offered to pay for April's part of the rent - which has been honoured.
My OH was sub-letting the room from her flat-mate for £500 and now the room has been sub-let to someone else, with the new person moving in this Saturday.
Question is - as my OH has paid for the whole of April's rent, is she entitled to a pro-rata'd amount back as the new tenant will be paying a pro-rata'd amount herself?
Problem is that my OH and the flat-mate are really good friends - but c.£250 plus the initial deposit of £400 would be very useful towards our bills here.
The flat-mate did give up 2 days to help us move and so we're in a bit of a quandary.
We are both of the opinion that she's entitled to this money, but neutral opinions would give us an idea of what other people thought.
Cheers
Toby

Probably the single most confusing post I have ever read.Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0

If the flatmate has a new lodger who is paying rent she should return any rent your OH paid for the same period.
Receiving rent from 2 lodgers simultaneously for same room? No!.
If your OH has paid rent for thisperiod, in theory she could move back in. But now she can't as someone else is sleeping in her bed and eating her porridge.
As for help with moving. They're friends. Bottle of wine?0 -
Thank you G_M - I shall convey this to the OH.
I'm glad you were able to understand it, unlike thesaint2021
