Funny phone call maybe ?

Hi all,i had a phone call today (blocked) number from a call centre in manchester,chap on the phone was asking about a car accident i had over one year ago,which the other party accepted liability,but due to the insurance company messing me about,i decided to pay for the work out of my own pocket.So assume the case was closed.
The chap on the phone had all details about the case (was a company like uab,i know it had bureau in the title,Took my name nothing else and said some compensation money was waiting from this other party,ask if i had any injuries,i said no nothing to write home about,i aint going to lie and said that someone else is going to ring me back just to confirm details id told this uab ? what do people think.
was a 0161 812625 number i asked for this and whom i was speaking to.

I have had calls from this number as well, when I have not had an accident. It is just a cold calling company.

Cold calling ambulance chasers.

If you weren't injured then please don't allow them to persuade them you to perpetuate the claims merry-go-round, which we all pay for in the long run.

Even though you wouldn't want to write home about it, if you suffered injury/discomfort etc through no fault of your own, you are entitled to be compensated for it.

So if they will do the legwork you might consider this as an unexpected bonus.

You can use any money they get you towards reimbursinbg yourself for havong to pay out of your own pocket.

And it seems this incident is on record, and will need disclosing to your insurers for some more years, and generally all incidents (even when you are blameless) result in your premium increasing, so another good reason to take the money!
