Sorry yes BORING another one of these, i accidentally interrupted another users thread so am doing one of my own.

I have been following advice and ignoring the letters, until this weekend when i stupidly sent an e-mail to the latest letter from Debt recovery, i know i shouldnt have, however below is their response, should i carry on ignoring it or have i shot myself in the foot by sending that e-mail ?

Thank you for your email Mr

I have carefully reviewed the case and considered the various points which have been raised; however, I will not be able to cancel the Parking Charge Notice (PCN).

The site in question is subject to terms and conditions which are stated on signs throughout the area.

Parking restrictions are put in place for a variety of reasons; including traffic control, congestion avoidance, etc and, as such, must be strictly enforced.

Please find attached photographic evidence taken at the time of the contravention.

As you can see the vehicle entered at - I cannot accept your assertion that you did not park and were unable to leave the site.

I would also like to point out that adequate opportunity has been granted to appeal this decision. In line with The Protection of Freedoms Act 2012, you were granted a certain time within which to appeal; including to an Independent Appeals Service (POPLA). You chose not to do so thereby forgoing your right to appeal further. The appeal period has now elapsed and therefore no further appeals will be accepted.

I understand that this is not the desired outcome; however, unless further evidence is provided, the decision on this matter is final. While any further correspondence contesting the decision will be noted and filed, I cannot assure you of a response unless fresh evidence is provided that would have a bearing on the decision.

As a gesture of goodwill, I will place the account of £150.00 on hold for 14 days to allow time for payment to be made; however, if no payment is received within this period, the matter will be passed on to our solicitors for further action to be considered.

Regards

Was that reply from parking eye, or Debt recovery plus?

Keep on ignoring them, there is a small chance that parking eye will try a small claim, but its not likely. You will get some more letters from DR+ now I think, then Zenith Collections who is DR+ pretending to be someone else.

After that it should be end of scam unless parking eye decides to try a claim.

No, not a letter written by staff at DRP - it's a reply spat out by the computer at Debt Recovery Plus!

    Seen it before!

I don't think the staff at DRP are clever enough to write their own letters; after all they aren't even sure whose signature is whose on their letters:

Carry on ignoring them - a debt collector couldn't have accepted an 'appeal' and cancelled a fake PCN anyway, the clue is in the name 'Debt Recovery Plus' although I am not sure what the 'Plus' relates to...

    :D
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
