wheelchair accessible car advice

Im looking to buy our first used wav(not through motability).I had a look at a few cars today and think the citreon dispatch would probably be the best one.Does anyone have one of these?
My son will probably end up in a bigger wheelchair as he grows and i felt that the dispatch had room to take a bigger chair than what we have just now(want car to last as long as possible).
Any advice would be greatly appreciated:)

I don't have a WAV, but several friends do....

The two main issues to consider are the disabled person comfort, headroom seems the main one and being able to see out etc.

The second is the drivers; does it meet there needs how easy to drive / park and get the person in / out.

My friends seem to use VW.

I'm not sure where in the country you're based, but if there is anywhere like this place near you, you could try several makes / models to see what issues there are; I'm not saying buy, just a good way to try and compare to help with your purchese.
