I has happened since I opened <snip> to watch movies, but don't know if this has anything to do with it.

Think you will need to remove that link.

Try this HOSTS file in the first instance.

    Thanks for the reply.

I have deleted that movie website.

Not sure what I'm supposed to do in the HOSTS file.

Do I download something from that page?

    Tks

Yes, just read the instructions according to your operating system....and I meant that you should delete the link from the forum.

Post me a DDS log - should take 2-3 minutes.

Download DDS from the link below and save it to your desktop:

    Link

After you've downloaded it and saved it to your desktop:
    • Double click DDS to run it.
    • Click Start
    • When it's finished, DDS will open two logs:
    1. DDS.txt
    2. Attach.txt
Save both reports to your desktop.

Copy & paste the contents of just DDS.txt for now and post it here (you may need to split the log over separate posts)

    Uninstall these:

    Ad-Aware Antivirus
    Ad-Aware Security Add-on

    Deal Boat
    iLivid
    Iminent
    Search Protect by conduit
    Vgrabber v1.4 Toolbar

After you've uninstalled those, Download AdwCleaner from the link below & save it to your desktop.

    LINK

    Then,
    • Right click AdwCleaner.exe & choose "Run as administrator" to run it.
    • Click Delete.
    • Click OK to the prompt.
    • The tool will run & your computer will be rebooted automatically. A logfile will open after the restart.
    • Post the contents of the logfile with your next reply (or email me it).
    • You can also find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[s1].txt.
