The lower air pressure in aircraft cabins can cause intestinal gases to expand - seems to be more of a problem for me on long haul flights.
I often lose count of the number of potential farts I've worked hard to suppress for the benefit of my fellow passengers....

This is a great tip, thanks op, I shall be packing a stink bomb next trip if I can work out how to get it through security!

After takeoff roll it under the seat in front, set it off and hey presto, demand an upgrade.

A friend also had an issue on an Emirates flight when she ended up being surrounded by women with plenty of money, but no class who had been to Dubai and decided to drink the bar dry.

She was on the last leg of numerous flights from NZ, complained and ended up in first class as it was empty. The shower and spa facilities were most welcome!

How do you know it was 'uncontrollably'?
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

Wonder if the spa facilities consisted of a jacuzzi. Could've put the lady in there and she could've gone to her heart's content.

aileth: a jacuzzi on a plane, now I wonder how they'd seal the tub and deck for leaks, especially with the weight saving measures they'd need :)

I've now got a vision in my head of someone trying to stay in a jacuzzi whilst a plane flies through turbulence. :D
