The first thing that I noticed was the rather poor screen resolution at 1366 x 768. I think this will be it's Achilles heel especially when it comes to gaming and watching films. Not sure what Pentium CPU this uses either?... DaveHappily retired and enjoying my 14th year of leisureI am cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.Bring me sunshine in your smile0

What games do you want to play? I think on first glance you might be struggling.
On the plus side, the RAM and disk capacity look good.
Also has USB 3.0 (very high speed), and HDMI output, which is a great feature.0 -
The main game would be football manager 2013. My son tells me it takes a lot of space.
So overall no good this laptop?0 -
Just to add £400 is max budget, so i would think with this price you would have to take the hit on one or two things on a laptop for the amount of money we want to spend0

If Football Manager 2013 isn't too graphics intensive then you'll probably be ok with this.
As previously mentioned, the screen resolution is low, and they don't give any details of the exact CPU spec. My feeling is it might be little under-powered.0 -
Thank you, any suggestions for a decent quick laptop budget £400?0

For £400 I'd be looking at a 3rd gen i3, possibly even an i5. The graphics chip in the pentium and celerons is poor, the 4000 isn't exactly brilliant but if you really wanted to play the latest games, you could albeit at low settings.
Otherwise wait a month or two for the new intel CPUs to appear.
However, you'll find any of these to be far better value
£379 i5

£379 i5

or an i3 with 11.6" screen for £329

And with touchscreen for £379 (I have one of these, they're not bad at all)

All will do the job, asus probably better built.0 -
Some really good suggestions from Jay, i have the Acer Aspire v5, and the I5 processor makes this an extremely responsive little laptop.0

Thank you for the suggestions and opinions.
As you probably know by now not the best with technology.
Just also come across this opinions?

Again, doesn't say what model Pentium processor it has.
I would go with the Asus or Acer previously suggested.0
