If they'd printed full A4 size, Ryanair would probably charge you for the extra fuel required to haul them into the air.
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)

I would not risk it. Best to reprint, making sure it is full size A4.

    From the Ryanair T&C's
6.1 All passengers are required to check-in on-line via the Manage my Booking section on http://www.ryanair.com/ and print out their Boarding Pass. The online check in facility is available from 15 days up to the Online Check-In Deadline of four (4) hours before each scheduled flight departure time. Once a passenger has checked in online they can reprint their boarding card up to two (2) hours before each scheduled flight departure time. Each Boarding Pass must be printed and presented on an individual A4 page.

Now it does only say printed and presented on an individual A4 page. It doesn't mention scale.

However when you fly Ryanair, you have to dance to their tune so it may be worth reprinting if you can just to be sure.

How small are they on the page? Half of it? Two thirds? I'd imagine the biggest problem would be if airport security or boarding gate were unable to scan the barcode.

We had to reprint Boarding Passes once, they had printed too small and they couldn't scan the barcode @ BHX.
I would reprint, just to be on the safe side.
    Normal people worry me.

If you use the save as PDF option and then print that, the overall size is larger than the 'print now' version (due to adverts).

Is it OK for it to be printed just in black ink?

    No colour on my printer.

Always print mine in black and white and the default size which is usually about an inch all the way round smaller than a$.

Flown dozens of times with Ryanair and Easy Jet and never once had a boarding pass problem.

Use decent quality paper to ensure the scanner can read it.
