Are they all as bad as each other?

Other than the monetary savings that can be made by switching gas and electric suppliers is there any other reason to switch. I am currently with npower and have been on the phone to them constantly with different issues since December and thinking that leaving them may be the best option. However it seems that from reading this forum many other people have problems with their own suppliers. Has any one found a good one or are they all as bad as each other?

They seem to be more or less as good or as bad as each other. nPower get some stick on here it seems but then again so to EDF/EON/SSE etc etc. I do find that you can never get through on the phone to nPower without waiting for ages but then again their call back service I've found to be efficient. SSE is better when phoning them but they seem (for me anyway) to get more things wrong than right with meter reading/billing. Good Energy were very good when I was with them once but very expensive (depending on your viewpoint).0

I'm with NPower too at atm and have been disappointed with their customer service several times, so next time I switch I think I'm going to try looking outside of the big 6 and choose a smaller supplier (provided the bills aren't significantly more expensive).0

No not quite, few of them could be said to be good but Npower have consistently been worst or second worst for service in various annual surveys.

I agree with undaunted.
Very helpful to have all the links.
I have previously recommended the survey at Which? - conducted in October and November 2012.
