Why not use an online photo printing place, like photobox, truprint or snapfish, lot cheaper.

Snapfish, you get 20 free photo first time, and extra for referring people. Plus you could set up a few email accounts, and refer yourself to get loads of free photos. Plus if you have a local jessops near you, you can have your photos delivered there for free.

So far i have had over 500 free photos this way.

The kodak photo booths in boots, will accept all memory cards, cd's and some now have bluetooth option.

You can crop and enlarge your photos on the booths, so you can print your pics whatever size you want.

As to accepting bmp, not sure. Why not be on the safe side, and download a free frogram to convert the bmp to jpeg. Plenty out there.

Some photobooths accept USB flashdrives i.e. ASDA.

Irfanview will convert your bmp to jpg and also show you what size they will print out at and you can resize them if necessary.

I doubt if you have to convert the bmp files but if you view them using Irfanview and do Image, Resize/re-sample it will show you what size that they will print out if you set the unit size to cm or inches.

Most photobooths will accept any format but if they would print out too small you would have to resize them anyway. Irfanview has a batch facility to do lots at once.

I know you wanted answer to original question, but seeing as you said you have a jessops near you. then why not sign upto to snapfish and create a few emails, refer yourself. You will end up with hundreds of free credits for your photos. And they will be delivered to jessops for free. So only cost is your time.

You would need to convert to jpg though

this link is for a free converter that will batch process your photos in 1 go.
