Theme park small 5 year old

I want to take my 5 year old nephew to a theme park July, he is below 1.1m in height, any recommendations where? It seems when I look at say chessington world of adventures most are min height of 1.1 and don't want to risk it.

Thank you

Where do you live? I used to take my grandchildren to Gullivers world when they were little and they really loved it.

    It depends where you live.

In the Midlands we have Gullivers and Twin Lakes, both of which are great. Drayton manor is good if you are going in term time, but super busy if not.

Paultons is nice, as is Lego land if you live in the south.

Drayton manor has Thomas land and he would be able to go on all the rides in that area when accompanied by you and some in the main park. There is also a small zoo. It's really good. We took our son a few times age 3 and 4.

Chessington also has lots for little ones and a zoo there is excellent. My son loved it age 5 although he is a little taller. From what I can see your nephew would be able to go on lots of rides but you have to accompany him. It adds to the fun!

There's plenty for an under 5 at Chessington World of Adventures.

There are 20 rides that children under 0.9m can enjoy at Chessington according to the website (and an extra ride if over 1 metre). The zoo bit is fun too and you have the Madagascar live shows. If you go on a Monday to Friday 1-19 July an adult and child aged 5 years and under can book a ticket for £18 so only works out £9 each for the day (click on tickets link in the link below).

Just had a look at raring2go site and if you ring Chessington on 0871 282 5110 and quote "raring2go", you can book the parent and toddler ticket which is availble Mon-fri but does not include weekends or school hols for £17 (instead of the £18).

My youngest went on a lot of rides at Chessington when he was toddling. Thorpe Park is the only theme park he was ever bored at, with not much to do for smaller children.

Are you able to go on the rides with him? The 1.1 restriction might mean they can't go on without an adult unless they are 1.1 or over. The new safari ride has a 1.1 restriction - a friend was complaining.

If you live Chessington way it might also be worth looking at Legoland.
