    Ah yes, the good old .97!

    You bought a clearance item which is why they don't have any more.

    If you used a £10 off voucher they don't have to refund that.

    Forgetting the fact that they can offer a partial refund depending on use, with faulty goods, the OP is entitled to be put back in their original position. That would include a £10 off voucher (not the cash equivalent)

    Depends on the voucher really, and even then it's a sticky subject as the retailer is only under obligation to rescind the contract, which essentially means the voucher with the original T&C would be rescinded.

    It's exactly the same as part-exchanging your car. If you gave a dealer your car and £300 for a new car which was faulty, would you be happy with the dealer only giving you the £300 back?

    The OP gave cash and a voucher. Any refund should be the same
