Are you implying that Agadir is close to Tangiers?

Just realised I am indeed talking complete gibberish.
My apologies OP, wherever I stayed it clearly wasn't Agadir. Although I have absolutely no idea where it was instead - all I can say is dementia must be setting in earlier than expected.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

We went to Agadir All Inclusive a couple of years ago. It was nice and we stayed here. http://www.firstchoice.co.uk/holiday/accommodation/overview/Agadir/Caribbean-Village-Agador-029419

The beach was nice and the AI included a section on the beach with free drinks and snacks. A walk along the new prom takes you to the new marina area. We then went to the fish market where the locals eat the fresh caught and cooked fish.

We went in December 09 just before xmas.

Went to Agadir last September, it was lovely. Stayed AI but ate out in the town a couple of times. The beech is, as previously stated, long & clean, a nice prom & marina.
We enjoyed our stay even though I got a poorly tum (yes, we are careful, but not precious).

The weather in Agadir is odd, don't know if it's all year but we had lots of see mist, most mornings you couldn't see anything, some days it didn't clear up at all. We also endured the worst rain storms they'd seen in ages (that was a one off though).

Before we went we did a lot of research on TA and booked a Riad right on the square in Marakesh for one night, we got the Super Tours bus, nice clean & on time and had a lovely 2 day trip. That was long enough as it is very busy & loud, but a must do, in my opinion. You do get hassle but I've had a lot worse in Egypt & even in Greece, so was suprised at how bad it wasnt.

Food was disapointing, not as spicey or exciting as I was expecting & we did try a few places.

We went to Agadir in September. Unless you are staying on a resort I really wouldnt recommend it. I felt very uncomfortable on the beach - lots of staring and few tourists about. We had lots of people come up and ask us for money too. Weather was much colder, cloudier and windier than we had expected - not much in the way of sun - and too cold really for sunbathing. The club med resort looked really nice tho. Also there was a lot of rubbish on the beach - and floating in the sea.

Marakesh - well - we got bored after the first day - see the big square thing once - you wont want to go back again. You might be better off staying in a resort - I am not a fan of resorts but really there is SO much hassle - I normally love markets but found them too much in Morocco (and all selling the same plates, cushion covers etc!).

Also, we found the food really bland and boring - this was throughout Morocco - eating in lots of different places. Wasnt as spicy or exciting as we had expected - very, very plain.

I had an amazing holiday in Morocco in 2007, was 12 days I'll never forget, me and my pal started off in Marrakesh, had one nights stay in a riad sorted, for the following nights we stayed in a difference riad almost every day! After 3 days in Marrakesh, we got a coach to Essaouira which is on the sea and spent a couple of lovely days there, then got the coach back to Marrakesh and after a night there joined an organised trip in a minibus up the Atlas mountains, into the Sahara desert, rode a camel into the desert with Bedouins, spent a night in a Bedouin tent, then a long camel ride back and minibus back to Marrakesh followed by the flight home.
All that travelling and changing accommodation every day isn't for everyone but it was the trip of a lifetime for me and I have very special memories :)
