No insinuations needed Andy we all know you aren't genuine :D

Well you know something that I don't.

For a start I have never been known as 'Andy' not as a nickname or as shown on my birth certificate.
Secondly, I am genuine and all of the postings I have made are genuine.
I don't particularly care what you or others think, the idea of this site and these forums is to gain access to help and advice and along the way offer the same to others.

So I will carry on the spirit of this site even if you and people like you have nothing better to do than gossip and backbite others. You are in the wrong place, you should be in the tea bar of the local sally anne!

If you're struggling to get the information from your providers, the Pension Service can send a form to you to sign which they can obtain the information direct from the provider themselves. This direct request might work out quicker in the long run as you don't need to forward it on.

They need one form for each provider. Not at work just now and can't for the life of me remember the name of it.

If you are struggling, keep them informed at all times, the phone lines are open 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday.

    Hope this helps.

Lets remember that it is the responsibility of the person who is claiming to supply the information needed - not the job of the Pension Service to go chasing after it!

Under normal circumstances it is. But 'normally' the Pension Service are pretty relaxed about when it comes in. Unfortunately my friend seems to have made an enemy of someone at the Pension Service and they are now being extremely unhelpful by laying down the law or else, even though they know that he can't comply due to the information and evidence having to be obtained from a third party.

His first attempt at a similar claim also ended with it being 'terminated' through the failure to submit evidence of income, but he stretched the time limit from September to February before the Pension Service said enough is enough.

Even AgeUK are astounded by the Pension Service's current attitude and are suggesting that they be allowed to challenge them on this 1 month rule. I have told me friend to allow them to do so as they have more clout than he has. He wants a couple of months, maybe three at least, not 30 days.

I have told him that he should put in a new claim every month. They won't accept them all, but at least he will always have one going through the system at all times and he can always backdate it by 3 months.
They seem to be playing silly games so if it was me this was happening to I would play an even sillier one in return and see what they do.
