isa small print

Hi People, Is it just me or have a lot of what should be simple mini cash isa's got more complicated.I have spent a couple of hours so far trying to find a good paying cash isa but on reading the small print(yep some of us do) there are conditions. For instance abbey pay a good rate but the interest gets paided out and can't stay in the account and so doesn't compond over the years, alliance and leicester again a good payer but they charge £25 to transfer to a different isa provider, I thought I have found a good one with national counties but if you want to transfer they charge 10 days loss of interest. The best I have found so far is sainsbury at 5.25% with no charges.Unless as they say any of you guys know different??

If you're ok with a variable rate ISA, and a postal one at that, the Abbey postal ISA doesn't have any of these disadvantages, and offers 5.35% compounded.

There is a special 'ISAs...' sub-board here with a lot of information...
If you do not have a lump sum to invest you can also consider regular saving ISAs. Read this THREAD
