Cenral Heating Boiler - Ariston vs Worcester?

My mum is replacing her 30 year old central heating system.

Reliability is more important than price i.e. she would rather sped a bit more & get a better product than buy the cheapest of the cheap.

On this basis we have been recommended the Ariston A30 Condensing Combination Boiler or (with a £470 supplement) the Worcester 30CDI Greenstar model.

Does anyone have any comments on the quality of the Ariston, or if the Worcester is worth the extra £470.

Thanks in advance.

Cant remember our model type but we have a 3 year old Worcester comibination boiler and I think my ma in law has the one which you are referring to. Both boilers have been nothing but trouble and we are having to have it repaired on a fairly regular basis. Same for a lady where I work. I am sure there will be a huge number of these boilers with no problems and we are just unlucky.

No doubt at all you would be better off with a worcester, based on experience
  • I have a worchester and it is brilliant, I wouldn't hesitate in buying another, my plumber also says they are the best quality out there.
