Providian and Monument Credit Cards

Hello ladies and gents,

A while ago I held both a Providian and Monument Credit card, this was between 2000 - 2003/4.

At this time, I don't know if I had any PPI or bank charges on these cards and I don't have any statements as these were shredded a few years ago.

I was wondering if anyone could please advise me on the best course of action? Unfortunately, I don't have any proof if they turn around and say 'You don't have any card holder protection' or anything like that.

I believe that these companies have stopped trading, so I don't know where to start!

Providian/Monument did not offer PPI, they had a similar non-insurance policy known as Payment Break Plan. Providian was taken over by Monument which in turn was taken over by Barclaycard, that's who you'd contact for any info.

Hi Keith, I have a claim in with FOS as it was rejected by Monument it didnt have PPI on it was payment break. In anycase i did not ask for it or need it as i was fully covered.I didnt know they had been taking over by Barclays. My claim has been with FOS since last April 12. So it looks like you need to send claim to Barclays Good luck.:D

hi there i to had problems with monument sent letters heard nothing then i found out that barclays had taken them over sent letter to them and recieved a payment quite quick try barclays
