Providian and Monument Credit Cards

Hello ladies and gents,
A while ago I held both a Providian and Monument Credit card, this was between 2000 - 2003/4.
At this time, I don't know if I had any PPI or bank charges on these cards and I don't have any statements as these were shredded a few years ago.
I was wondering if anyone could please advise me on the best course of action? Unfortunately, I don't have any proof if they turn around and say 'You don't have any card holder protection' or anything like that.
I believe that these companies have stopped trading, so I don't know where to start!
Many thanks and any help would be greatly appreciated!

Providian/Monument did not offer PPI, they had a similar non-insurance policy known as Payment Break Plan. Providian was taken over by Monument which in turn was taken over by Barclaycard, that's who you'd contact for any info.0
