Investing in UK, working in Germany

My wife and I live and work in Germany. We have £45,000 in premium bonds. Over the last 4 years we have averaged £650 per year in "winnings". I noticed from a link on MSE.com we could earn more in interest than we get on bonds. Could we invest in the UK even though we live in Germany? Westill have our UK bank account and use my parents as postal address.
Wedont need to touch the money. Would just putting the bulk of this in a bank account be the the best long term option?
Many thanks
Dale

If you still have a UK bank account and just want to put cash into a savings account, then the bank should be able to do that for you. Interest rates are very poor though. Being overseas you can't put money into a new ISA.
If you meant 'invest' in the sense of shares, you can invest in the UK (or anywhere else) from Germany, using a number of trading platforms. Again, try the UK bank first."I don't mind if a chap talks rot. But I really must draw the line at utter rot." - PG Wodehouse0 -
