Can you secure the two legs at the headboard end to the skirting or wall with wooden or metal brackets?

Or can you find some other way of physically securing it in place?

Small brackets securing the legs to the floor might be possible.

If it's got hollow metal legs a couple of small screws into the floor that stick up into the legs ought to keep it in place. Just be careful as to what's under the floor where you put the screws in.

Isn't it the screws that are making the bed move?

I had another idea - you know the wooden cups that you get to put underneath furniture legs. If you stuck the circle of rubber mat to the underside of the cups, and put those underneath the legs of the bed, hopefully the larger surface area of the cup would give better contact with the floor and keep the cups from sliding around.

Edited to say - I googled to find wooden furniture cups and found these rubber ones instead, which look even better (just noticed they are in the US but there must be a UK version - I think they are castor cups in the UK)

    Had a similar problem ish.

I've had wooden floors and a sleigh bed and it worked out great. Then updated my nice new bed to one on castors, it runs away every time I get in it, never mind any of the other stuff :o

Is the metal on you're bed narrow enough to go inside castor cups? That's what I've ordered for our bed. Dunno if it would be suitable for metal bed legs though, guess it would depend on the diameter.
