MP3 Creator/Recorder

Kingsd316

Hi All,

Does anybody know of a piece of software (free might i add as im a moneysaver ) that i can record in an MP3 format, or any compatible format for my Ipod Nano, im trying to remember some formulas for an exam an am thinking of putting them on it so i can just keep going over them whilst on my way to and from work. I have a computer microphone so i was hoping i could just read them out and save them as an MP3.

Any Ideas welcome

Thanks

From memory - you need an add-in to save audacity (or as a friend pronounced it "order-city") files as MP3 and I don't know if that bit is free (no doubt someone will correct me if I'm wrong). If you're on XP, how long does the sound recorder last these days?
I know this saves as either WAV or WMV but you can easily get a converter for it afterwards.

Try this one, it says it is free.

Have used Audiograbber for years, and not seen anything to beat it. It's aimed at ripping CDs, but has a live sampling option... and it's free!

Oops, yes you're right, I'd forgotten about that. But it is freely available:
