Suddenly my WD external drivve stopped working and window pops up with unknown device and code 43. Can anybody help pl? I have tried plugging and unplugging with no joy. Thanks

Code 43 is a device failure I think. You tried using in other USB ports? Sometimes if you use an extension or one of the front ports it doesn't have enough kick to power the drive.0

Download the WD data lifeguard diagnostics program from the WD site for your particular model of external drive and see what it says - apart from device failure.0
