Redundancy / London weighting allowance

Just been handed my 1-month redundancy notice and pay calculation. Asked whether this payment included London Weighting and was told no. Is this usually correct or might it differ with organisations?

My workplace's policy is 2x the statutory redundancy entitlement in place at the time employment terminates calculated by reference to actual basic net salary.

For enhaced pay they can do what they like as long as it is more than the statutory minimum.

Statutory is based on a "weeks pay" capped at £450 weeks pay is defined in the employment act and would include a london weighting.

also I notice they are being a bit mean using net pay, most places use gross for enhanced redundancy, statutory use gross pay.

How long have you worked there and when was the start date some places get the numbers wrong if you clock up another years service during notice.

They can make up their own rules as long as they pay at least statutory amount.

Statutory amount would include LW but has a weekly cap.

Thanks for the info. Have worked in the organisation just over 3 years. Start date was 22nd February 2010.
