I have a very expensive bunny, £50 - £80 every three months to have his teeth filed down!! He is worth it though and I love him to bits!

Hay if you have somewhere to store it I used to get mine from a friend who kept horses, same with the straw and sawdust worked out much cheaper.

You have to be careful with hay/straw bales bought from the farmer as they could contain mites and be passed onto your bunny. The hay you buy in bags from pet shops/supermarket type places has all been heat treated to kill off any mites, hence why it's more expensive.

Also make sure the shavings you buy don't contain any pine or cedar wood as these too can be lethal for bunnies/small animals.

Toilet tubes/kitchen roll tubes go down well with mine and they are in good supply!

I left one of their carry caes out once with some newspaper in, went back a bit later and my indoor one looked to have had a good old time ripping that to pieces and chucking it all over my kitchen!!!
