LVT for lease extension - has anyone ever gone it alone?

Hi all,
My lease extension is now having to go through LVT due to negotation breakdown and I fully understand that the sensible thing is to employ professionals to do the LVT work, but I was interested in hearing if anyone here had gone it alone and done the LVT paperwork and attended the tribunal themselves and, if so, what their experience was like?
