Hi Everyone,
I could really do with some advice I have 7 financial agreements from past that I believe I may have paid PPI on and I don't know where to start.
Agreements were for:
Online finance: a car on finance I definately had ppi on this.
Benefical finance: a loan I definately had PPI on this.
and the following im not sure if I had ppi or not:
Egg credit card
Virgin credit card (MBNA International)
HFC Bank finance for a sofa suite from DFS
Little woods catalogue : I have a statement from this mentioning Extra care advantage (possible PPI?)
Over draft with Barclays: I've found on statements small fees for OD protection.
I only have account numbers for most of these agreements as after a couple of years of trying to pay of these creditors I found myself in a difficult financial situation incurring charges and decided to go through a debt consolidation programme which paid off all of the above and I have now been debt free for the last two years.
I believe I was mis-sold PPI as I am a public sector worker and if I was to fall unwell I would have been given full pay while sick.
any advise appreciated.
Thankyou.

For the ones you are not sure about, you can send a SAR with £10 to each company asking them for details, however they may only hold information for the last 6 years, so it depends how long ago it was.
How long would your full pay have lasted for? For the same length the PPI would have paid for?Total Mortgage OP £61,000Outstanding Mortgage £27,971Emergency Fund £62,100I AM NOW MORTGAGE NEUTRAL!!!! <<Sep-20>>0 -
If you bought any loans or crddit cards online, then the chances are that you will have your complaint denied because you bought it, it wasn't sold to you.
The exceptions are if the PPI was pre-ticked, which was the case for Egg but around 1999/2001.
You need your account numbers to make a complaint and reason for being missold.
Read through this, but you cannot ask for agreements on closed accounts, and a SAR may not give you acount numbers if your information has been destroyed.

Also some companies won't have been regulated pre-2005 so can dismiss your compalint, in the case of catalogues and car finance especially, unless it was Black Horse, or a Santander based card.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -

I finished paying all accounts mentioned in July 2011 so they should still all hold information, i took out most of these agreements between 2005 to late 2006 and put them all into debt consolidation it april 2008. I will send a SAR and £10 to each of them.
I would have / am entitled to full pay for six months and half pay for six months.
thankyou for your response0 -
After reading some threads ive realised that my car finance ppi would lie with reg vardy do they often pay out also should add my car finance was the only credit that i did not put into debt consolidation i paid that off over the stated time. I have also emailed littlewoods this after about the extra care advantage stating i do not remember signing up for this product and would not have needed it and wish to claim back the charges for it and i got a response saying theyve sent the infotmation to their specialist team who will get in touch in the next 5 days.0

if you were on a dmp or similar [it's not clear from your posts] then any redress will first go against amounts written offNon me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Yes sorry i had a debt management programme it simply stopped creditors adding interest and an agreement was made to pay smaller payments over a longer time which i did and paid off all debts. Prior to the debt management programme i believe i may have been charged ppi by each of the companies so this is what i want to find out.0
