Amstrad E3 Emailer/videophone

I've just received an Amstrad E3 Emailer/videophone, mainly for the video part of it so my folks can see the kids. I know that it costs 50p to make a videophone call on top of your normal charges. I'm currently on an obsolete BT package which allows me calls up to an hour free at evenings and weekends and I was going to cancel it but now...
I run 18866 and I doubt if I could use this when making videophone calls. So, the cheapest I could make the calls for would be 50p a call I presume, up to an hour, if I call on an evening/weekend.
Does anyone have one of these videophones. Also, I hear that on the old type ones (black), you can cancel out the Amserve email account, but with the new ones (like what I have), you cannot do this and they automatically dial out to check for email etc and if you don't allow it, then the phone becomes inoperable. I don't need the email service as I am broadband, want it only for videophone use.
If anyone currently has an Amstrad E3 Emailer/videophone, would they be so kind as to post up their comments etc on it and how it actually runs etc with the email/videophone etc and stuff. The good points/bad points etc. It would be greatly appreciated. TIA

If you are on broadband why don`t you use MSN messenger or Yahoo messenger for free video calls and through the Amstrad where it belongs, in the bin.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0
