Child Tax Credits??

Hiya all
thanks for taking the time to look in!

im a little confused and wondered if anyone could help....
i get paid child tax credits on a tuesday for my baby son (£44.62 )
but i just checked my bank online and have the CTC Tuesday payment in but also another payment from today(wed) of CTC for £46.06

i just wondered is this coz of bank holiday (which i doubt considering its not for over another week!)
is it an overpayment cos it is £2 odd more than i usually recieve - also if it IS an overpayment what do i do know.....?

Maybe it is a new payment amount based on the new tax year?? Just a random guess; hopefully someone more knowledgeable can help.

I asked my OH, and he said that if you've just done your annual declaration then that could be a reason, but he said best to phone the help line and do a quick check. 0845 300 3900

i have also had an extra payment paid in today, phoned helpline and all they said was i am entitled to it...maybe a few of us are getting an extra payment...

Strange as i was wondering the same i had an extra payment in today of £30.12.

when payments are changed, with WT, at least, you seem to get extra, for some reason!! Mine due tomorrow, will check!!

i got £600 extra yesterday!!!!! which has rather handily paid for my night out tonight!

Ididn't get an extra payment whenI rang my figures through 2 weeks ago, but at least the figure hasn't gone down.

make the most of it cause you probably wont be able to go out again when they claw it back, which they do
