    its roughly £160
  • ESA Support rate = £106.50
    DLA MRC = 53.00
And if your friend is on Income related version of ESA then they will get the extra Disability premium too at least £15.15
And maybe also the severe dis prem of £59.50 - the latter kick in automatically.
Not sure if there is more due there may be. Others better versed in all this can correct me or advise more.

Disability premium too at least £15.15 (I thought that for higher rate of DLA ?)

I think this one is correct below:

    Single over 25: £71.70
    Premium severe disability single £59.50
    Support
    £34.80

    Total £166.00 per week

I found this link but these are 2012/13 rate: http://www.rethink.org/living_with_mental_illness/money_debt_benefits/benefits/employment_and_support_allowance/what_is_employment_a.html

    It say here:

£34.80 for the ‘support’ group. People in the support group who get Income-related ESA will also receive the Enhanced Disability premium – an extra £15.15.

So, look like this will work out if ESA placed in a support group of income related with DLA MRC:

    Single over 25: £71.70
    Premium severe disability single £59.50
Premium enhanced disability IR ESA £15.15
    Support
    £34.80

    Total £181..15 per week
  • I get EDP and I am in Supp group but on IR ESA so it gets paid automatically. In my case DLA not relevant. I get LRC/HRM. Although I get couples rate as my OH is on my claim.
  • Hi newbie here, please advise... I am on cr ESA and until 2011 was also given the support group payment. This stopped last year, and I was on 210.10 fortnightly. It didn't occur tomato check as benefits are a new thing to me.
However I just received a letter telling me about the increases and it says I AM in the support group again, and will receive this this year. Do you think they made a mistake last year at my renewal?
Is it worth me muddying the waters to check?
