Online conveyancying???

I, too, am going to be in need of conveyancing. I've just had an offer accepted and will be finalising a mortgage and survey this week, so hoping to move fast and get the conveyancers in mind before then.
Can anybody who's had a genuinely good experience with an online solicitor/conveyancer(borkid, japmis, robin?) please PM me letting me know who you used and how competitive they were? I'm FTB so very new to all this, don't really know who to use or not!
The cheapest I have found so far is a company/site called Convey Quote - does anyone have any experience with them?0 -
I used an online conveyancer to sell (FWD LAW) and a local solicitor to buy as there were some forseeable complications. I did have one person looking after me at the conveyancer and I can't fault them. Definitely saves money but I suggest you check your choice out thoroughly before committing as some have poor reputations.Je suis sabot...0

I am also looking to sell & buy, and would appreciate recommendations if anyone is willing to PM me.
I'm near the Hampshire/Surrey/Berkshire border if that helps.
Many thanks,

Hi, like the person above I am also in the Surrey/hampshire border area and have just had a verbal offer accepted on a house. The EA want us to use their conveyancing service but we would rather have our own.
We are new to the area so don't really have anyone to ask for recommendations so if anyone could recommend either local or online it would be much appreciated.
Thanks

1st Property Lawyers seem to have a decent reputation and I'm strongly considering using them. They seemed very professional and knowledgeable on the phone.
I never met my solicitor when I bought my first house, everything went through the receptionist when I handed over my documents etc.0 -
If you are using an online conveyancer, I don't think location really matters. I'm in Bucks but the conveyancer was in Gwent. Good communication is more important than proximity.Je suis sabot...0
