Surprised by the break down in communication between departments meaning I end up with a revised bill and double payment expected of me.......obviously this was expressed effectively within my text!

From what im reading im the only person who thinks that it might have been more appropriate and polite to give notification that double payment would be due from me??!!

Double payment is NOT expected of you. You have always been subjected to this rate... It's just as an employee a further benefit was applied, being the discount.

It's quite obvious this benefit seizes when your employment does.

How can an accountant help you? Surely a legal advisor is more appropriate?

Obviously it wasn't. I thought you were asking whether you could refuse to pay the non-discounted price despite no longer being an employee. Perhaps the fact that you asked
Can I refuse to pay the non discounted price

led me to think that. Silly me.

TBH, I've read your OP a number of times now and I'm none the wiser as to what you actually want to know and I'm not sure why you think you're being charged twice. What's this 'double payment' you mention?

Overdue payment for March, and advance payment for April. Previously the OP paid at month END (deduction from salary) whereas non-employee clients pay at month START. I guess OP wasn't expecting this to change. (No idea why not, but there you go).

Common sense isnt all that common even in the most intelligent of people. (not a dig at the OP, I make my share of mistakes too....we all do)
