Plumbworld Diabolical Experience, Avoid at all costs

Firstly, the goods supplied are ok and as described however this companies biggest downfall is its customer service, or should I say lack of it.
I have read numerous reviews slating this company and I knew I could have issues, but I thought I would give it a whirl regardless in the hope I was lucky.
This company are great if you never have an issue, have an issue you get nothing back other than email after email after email.
Some 10 emails later and a level of stonewalling from Plumbworld and 1 telephone call to the manufacturer (found by my own search) my issue was sorted but Plumbworld made little headway and there was hardly any intervention from them. I have kept all the emails as I even have 1 that came back to me from their customer service operative who says 'Im trying my best'. If thats their best then their worst really must be rock bottom.
My advice, if you can afford to go elsewhere then do it, for what you save in money, you lose in after sales service. They need to invest more in their people and after sales, rather than thinking everything is solved by good IT and ping pong emails.
I was ill informed most of the time and kept in silence. I requested a copy of their complaints procedure twice and got nothing at all.
Avoid if you can.

Very one sided. No details of the issue nor of what Plumbworld did or didn't do to resolve it. It's especially confusing as you say that "the goods supplied are ok and as described" so just what did Plumbworld do wrong, if anything?0

G42, I dont go making claims of this nature for nothing, so please dont assume that in the lack of detail that PLUMBWORLD, rather than I, are free of any blame. I made the post so others would not have to deal with this horrendous company and experience what I did.
My order - I had a call on the Friday for delivery on the following Monday, when I asked for an alternate date, this was met with resistance.
Items arrived - I had an issue with one item - emailed PLUMBWORLD.
After Sales - A teflon coated customer service that just forwards cut and pasted mails from a manufacturer rather than actually take ownership and deal with the issue.
PLUMBWORLD rename their stock so it proves difficult to discover who manufacturers are, to cut them as the middle man, however I did and between the manufacturer and myself we sorted the issue directly because PLUMBWORLD were inept.
PLUMBWORLD had no answers, no information other than to keep forwarding emails and were generally unresponsive. The 10 mails I did have over the period were only to hand the responsibility back to me. They have no complaints procedure in place and a general disregard for complainants.
As I said previously the goods in the end were ok thanks to the manufacturers, but if you need an aftersales service, I'd try a more professional retailer.0 -
To be fair to G42, I also wondered what on earth you were warning others about given that the opening line in your initial post was "the goods supplied are OK and as described".
Your second post gives a much better indication of the reasons WHY you felt you should warn others about this company, though you've still managed to be vague about the problem with item you had an "issue" with!
Does make it a trifle difficult to determine whether you're being fair to Plumbworld, or whether they've given you the email runaround because the "issue" is unjustified. Though I take on board your comments regarding their reluctance to offer a more suitable delivery option for you.
My view of Plumbworld.........cheap (can't say I was tempted to use them during recent bathroom refurbs in my home). I think I've seen other negative threads regarding this company on here.Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0
