I Want XP Upgrade In Disk Format

Still using Win XP1 from pre-installation on my new laptop, stupid many of you all will say I know.

I also know I can upgrade to XP2 for free using Mnicrosoft's automatic upgrades. I have tried that, just went back to XP1.

And now Windows Vista is out!!!

I want the disk though and that is pretty much a demand and neither my favourite places Amazon or PC World sell them.
I also do not use my debit card on-line.

Anybody know where I can get a WinXP1 to XP2 or higher upgrade on disc?

My pc has 30GB hard-drive (27.9GB according to my pc's properties)
&
240MB Ram with Intel Celeron CPU 2.40GHZ processor.

I have anti-spyware, an excellent paid for licenced anti-virus and fireall all from different makers.

    Albertross,
I believe you first brought this to my attention long ago.

I'd always feared the professional version of the upgrade would clash with my own pre-installed home edition hence delayed putting it off for over six months as a precaution.

I can gladly say, with a great big sigh of relief, no conflicts have happened and I now have peace of mind.

I am now a member of the XP2 family :A

Windows XP home and Windows XP pro are very much the same and they use the same update from Microsoft. The Package Albert is just called for Profesionals as it is a single download that can be copied to a cd/memory stick or over a network and installed on multple PC's without the PC needing to download any aditional files from the internet. It doesnt mean it only wirks with Windows XP profesional and not the home edition.

ohh and it isnt important to constantly be on the latest version of windows, Service packs fix bugs and security flaws, but most of the flaws and bugs you wont come accross anyway. so I wouldnt worry too much.

    Nice to know.
Wish I'd been told this before I upgraded.
I shall now turn off Automatic Updates as soon as my latest fixes are installed.
