Looking at a job, thats out in the sticks.. train/bus is going to take forever (£££ too!), so thought try renting a car for a bit, til have money to buy.

no capital at present, not driven for some time so no NCD, but do have full clean licence.
Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

Car rental wont be cheap. Is the job that well paid?

You can do deals on long term rental, But you may need to pay large sums up front to get the best deals.

I looked at one recently when somene else asked. FROM*** £8 - £12 a day. But you needed to have a 6 month deal and pay upfront.

If you have not driven for some time, You may need all the extra insurance cover you can get. They can make silly charges for any tiny scratch or blemish when you hand it back.

A small scratch on the front and another on the back may = 2 claims and the payment of the excess twice.

Buy a cheap banger or get a bike/scooter?
