Track-a-matter

Hi there,
Can anyone who is familiar with Track-a-Matter help me please?
When the next stage is "Draft Contract Requested" which DOESN'T have a tick in it, does that mean my solicitor needs to request something from the vendor's solicitor?
What precisely is it waiting for, what is the next stage and how long does it generally take? It seems to have been sat on this point for ages!
Thanks in advance!

Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!

I can't help with Track a matter because I have never come across it but in general terms I would comment as follows.
Your solicitor will need to confirm to the Seller's solicitor that he is instructed by you. Once he has done this the seller's solicitor will send out the contract pack. This will include up to date Land Registry entries with filed plan, draft Contract, replies to the various protocol forms (property info form, fixtures and fittings etc). Your solicitor will review all of these and no doubt raise specific enquiries. Sometimes solicitors will send out part of the contract pack while the rest of the documents are awaited so no time is lost.
This doesn't help answer why the box isn't ticked.... but hopefully explains what your solicitor will be receiving.0
