Ebay feedback question

I have recently purchased 8 small items from the same seller. Transaction went well, delighted with delivery, items etc.
Seller has left one feedback for me covering all purchases but I have had to leave feedback for each of the items purchased. Is this normal practice? Is this a way for seller to receive a higher number of feedback scores?

To answer part of your question, no, a seller is only credited with 1 feedback for a group of items that were ordered together. This is the number that appears in brackets after their eBay ID.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. That system is in place to make it fair to all and so you don't buy say, 100x 1p items off someone to get an instant 100 feedbacks and make it look like you've got a great feedback score. Scammers used to adopt that method and buy "feedback" for 1 penny it was always things like "buy a joke " or "buy a recipe" and I will email it to you, and leave me feedback and I will do the same for you, but later they would email to say, " you don't need to pay me just award me feedback"0

Both buyer and seller have the same number of transactions to leave feedback for.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Oh well, I left 8 feedbacks as a buyer to the one I received from the seller!
Each order generates the ability to leave feedback, if you can leave 8 then seller also can leave 8. It cannot work any other way.
As has been said not all will increase the overall score, but again that works both ways.
Either seller has 7 more to leave for you , and you can check under your feedback tab on 'my ebay' or you have received 8 and have just missed the other ones.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. No I agree with the OP. I bought 11 packs of seeds from same seller, my feedback went up by 1 (with none left outstanding) whilst I had to leave 11 seperate ones. I ended up putting "very pleased, excellent" for the first 1 then just " . " for the rest as I couldn't be arsed to write 10 more times.0

If you read the thread that is what we are saying. Both the buyer and seller leave the same amount of feedback, in your case 11 , but in both cases the feedback goes up by 1.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Ah - gotcha. So I wasted my time leaving feedback for all but the first one?0

Leaving feedback does have the advantage that you don't get that annoying little eBay pop up telling you that you have feedback to leave. Other than that though, no it does not assist the seller to leave 8 lots rather than 1.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
