Bank of Scotland £100 switch ended ?

I just completed the application after receiving the £100 switching email from Martins Tips.I'm not sure but after hitting the final enter button it states " £100 switching account has finished" or something to that effect. Does this mean the £100 switch deal is no longer & that I have just been duped into filling in the form only to be told at the end it is no longer or does it mean I have finished the process. ???

Same for me. I've printed the website page just in case I need it in the future.
There is a number to phone 'if you have any questions in connection with this application' (08457 21 31 41)0 -
This has just happened to me too
It referred to the offer at the start of the application, and then after I'd completed everything it said the offer has ended! Do you think they will honour it?Waddle you do eh?0 -
I've never been to the site before but following the link for the £100 switch form the personal banking page, you have all the terms of the offer listed before you begin - you could hit Alt/Print Scrn to take a screenshot of those terms and go into Microsoft Paint and click edit then paste, and then you can save a visual copy of what they had on their site and saves on the ink! They say it's open until 30th June.
Isn't Halifax and Bank of Scotland a merger owned by HBOS? In term 6, they say: "Payment applies to first account opened only (either through Bank of Scotland or Halifax), whether sole or joint. Joint account qualifies for one payment only." I know Martin's e-mail out mentions it's a sister company but obviously it's important to know this clause as, if you've had £100 from switching to Halifax, you won't get it switching to Bank of Scotland. Otherwise, they shouldn't be telling you that it's over once they've led you down the garden path! After posting about receiving an email to my MSE username/email from 'Money Expert' (note the use of ' '), I am now unable to post on MSE. Such is life.0 -
Yep, I've just come across this too and had already taken screen dumps and printed the application confirmation page that says the £100 is finished along with the High Interest account details page (see http://www.bankofscotlandhalifax.co.uk/bankaccounts/highinterestcurrentaccount.asp).
Not surprised to find this thread on MSE and I'm going to give the BoS a VERY hard time if they don't honour this.... yet will still persist in the account as the interest rate is still very useful to me and I've had zilch from NatWest (who I used to work for) for the last 30 years.0 -
Just spoken to a CSA at HBOS and they've confirmed that the website is incorrect. The £100 credit will be made as per the offer details at the start of the process. Apparently the statement that the offer has ended refers to their previous offer as the text on the final page of the application process just hasn't been updated to reflect the new offer which started on Monday. I'm not sure whether this error bodes well for my future relationship with the bank, though!! Falkirk Bairn0

MSE_Dan has just responded on this thread regarding this matter:

He's confirmed with BOS, and the webpage is in error. The £100 switching offer is valid.0 -

I wondered whether the above might be the case, actually. I, also, (and, I suspect, everybody else who applies...) got the "£100 incentive to switch now finished" message & wondered if it might be referring to the old Halifax offer. Anyway, we [all of us] shall see whether or not the £100 is forthcoming. That's if I get approved, of course. And, also, whether they accept my Barclays (£100 bribe!) a/c as a "switcher" - even though there are no D/Ds or S/Os to switch!
Let's all watch this space - I'm sure this one is gonna run and run!Expect the worst & hope for the best...0 -

Yes I did get the same reply when I also called them. However looking at there T+C's it states "7. The £100 offer is subject to change and may be withdrawn at any time."
Well see what happens...
