Lidl satellite system

My brother recently bought a Silvercrest portable satellite system from Lidl, we are both novices at dishes etc, so read the instructions thoroughly.
We connected everything and I held the dish out the door ( it was chucking it down), all was OK, hundreds of channels including BBC1 etc.
He has now fixed it to the wall, but has now lost the BBC/ITV etc channels all the other programmes are still there.
The channels are shown on the OSD, but on checking info, it says no signal.
This is Astra 28 if I remember correctly.
Anyone any ideas/suggestions?

Move along, nothing to see.

Have you used a meter or made sure it's properly aligned on the wall?0

Used the inbuilt meter.
Shows about 80 (both quality and strength).
Before we had UK on 70.
The thing is, only the UK programmes are missing (they were there the other day).
Hundreds of other progs available just not the UK ones.
Have moved the dish slightly in all directions to no avail.Move along, nothing to see.0 -

If your getting foreign channels then your probably on either 13 East or 19 East. Face the dish and turn it to the right a few inches and tilt it slightly towards the ground a bit more.0 -
Thanks for the reply,
Brother lives 10 miles away, so will try your suggestion at the weekend.
At the moment he's a bit afraid to alter it in case he loses all reception.Move along, nothing to see.0 -

Will list various satellites that cover us in Europe, might be worth a look to see what channels from which satellites you are receiving.
Does sound like you are now on a different satellite and not on SES Astra 2 and Eutelsat Eurobird 1 at 28.2e and 28.5eIt's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -
Hi,
maybe this will help,
if you need more help, have a look here, it's for caravaners, but settings are the same wherever.0 -
Thanks all for the suggestions.
Unfortunately I can't get to my brothers until Sunday, he doesn't want to touch anything until I get there.
It certainly sounds as if the dish needs moving more to the east.
Thamks again.Move along, nothing to see.0
