Have been ticking along nicely with no problems since the change over from Ntl to Virgin network..........until today!!!!
Awaiting an important phone call today and thought it strange we didnt recieve it. Any way, wasnt until a family member phoned on the mobile to inform us that our telephone number had been passed onto somebody else today!!!!!!
Oh phoned " our" number and a chap informed us he had been connected to the number today. He was then informed he had our number..... not his fault thougfh poor guy.
Managed to get through and speak to someone only to be told to ring again in the morning to sort it out.
So...... at the moment we have no land line and a contract mobile, but without that we would have been really stuck.
Has this happened to anyone else?
What about the calls that have been made today - will we have to pay for them?
What do we ask when phoning them tomorrow. Am mad now but will have calmed down by morning.
Thanks, and sorry for the moan.......

I'd be very persistent demanding they fix it now and compensate you handsomely!
Just think what this bloke could find out if your doctor or some company you deal with called!0 -
Better hope he is not on premium numbers.
Sorry, but you better fix it quickly or you will be in a mess and make sure you get the number back.0 -
Thanks very much for the two replys so far......... to date we still have no land line despite numerous calls and a strong email........ still waiting.
Out of the 60 odd fleeters - anyone any wiser of what else we can do???
Going to cost a fortune using the mobile daily and being kept waiting.......
Surely it doesnt take this long to re-connect the line? Didnt take long to disconnect us!!!
Thanks...x0
