The BPA Does It Again

Martin Cutts latest missive blows yet another hole in the BPA's much-punctured, fragile balsa hull as it transpires that out of the 17,000 private car parks operated by its AOS members the BPA has only ever inspected the signage (as part of the AOS audit regime) at about 200 of them.

What is worse is that although the BPA insists that its inspections are rigorous the truth is that each AOS member only ever has one of their car parks inspected - in respect of the signs - every three years.
How on earth can that be described as rigorous? That can't be described as an "audit" its little more than a cursory check.
Once again (its becoming boringly repetitive) the BPA says one thing but when those words are examined it transpires they do something entirely different.
If I was an AOS member I would be starting to ask what it is I get from the BPA and maybe, just maybe, I'd be wondering if it was great value.

My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).

I'm surprised they even check that amount, plainly like the ppcs this is a money making exercise for them, all they are interested in is making money as quickly as possible. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

That's easy to answer. They get access to the DVLA database, and without even having to be too picky around CoP compliance, as neither the BPA or DVLA seem to care about such niceties. Without that, their businesses would be sunk.If I was an AOS member I would be starting to ask what it is I get from the BPA and maybe, just maybe, I'd be wondering if it was great value.0 -
