dealing with neighbouring garage with torn roof

Hi, I own a flat with a garage en block,I am on the end, they are in a row of 8. The garage next to mine is rented out,it has leaked for a number of years, when I moved in last March, I had my roofreplaced and its fine. However, my neighbour has a large rip which isnow spreading towards mine. I am concerned about water penetration and damp, herroof has exposed timbers and the felt is just disintegrated.

I am trying to contact the owner, but in the meantime isthere any advice? Its not dangerous, but is in a poor state orrepair. Not sure how helpful the landlord will be given the flat roof has beenleaking badly for such a long time.

Hopefully the landlady will be helpful but I am covering allpossibilities. Thanks for any advice.

Isn't it up to the managing agents or freeholder to sort out roofs of en-bloc garages? I know this is the case where I live. You'd need to look at your lease to see what the terms are for repair & upkeep of the garages.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

They have all been bodged or patched over. Mine is the only one that's been done properly. I don't think they would all be leaking to the extent they are if it was a management issue. They have told me they can speak to the owner if I am unable to contact them. Some of the roofs have got sheeting folded back and screwed in, some have just got holes in them, after the rain, you can see it running out under garage doors.
