need realy good advice

need help been claiming tax credits as single person have two kids and my own house was due to move in with my partner last year when he sold his property .he put house up for sale but ex had put a caution on property so we have been through a huge costly legal battle that was finished in February we went ahead with our plans to marry in July and have lived separate up till now it looks likely that that finally everything will go through.my question is before we got married i phoned the tax credits and explained our situation and told them everything they said as long as we were not living together then i was to still claim as a single .my renew form has come through for last year and there is no mention of me getting married the form just says that if all the information is correct then to do nothing until it does. i phoned them back up and they are sending me a new claim package to fill in when my husband moves in is this right .the situation has already been very stressful my husband is on low wadge and pays an enormous amount of csa and now has legal bills to pay we cannot afford to be doing anything wrong but every time i phone they just seem really half baked.
