My Motherboard's Given Up The Ghost

Soooooooooo, I'm going to replace it. I don't want (can't afford) to upgrade CPU etc so I've got a motherboard on the way.
I'd like any advice from those of you who've been down this road please. I'd like to be able to use the current set up (XP) that's on my main HDD. I realise this may not be possible, especially as it's a Mesh machine with a Mesh XP CD. Still, I'd like to give it a go just for the hell of it.
If all else fails I have access to a 'proper' XP cd and the serial number on the tower case.
So, pointers please if you have the time.
Thanks

Zahc

worse case you will have to ring microsoft to get XP activated again...maybe not

I rang them with a DELL HDD in a new case with new processor, PSU, cdrw etc...and they did not bat an eyelid

That's good to hear. What do you think about my chances of resurecting my XP installation on HDD? I was thinking of using the repair option on the XP CD as boot, I vaguely remember someone telling me this.
