Looking back rather foolishly I put down double sided carpet tape to hold some mats in place on laminated floors.
Now I have removed the carpet and pulled up as much as possible of the tape but a lot of the backing residue remains.
I did a google and it said use some wd40 on an old rag to help loosen it, and that nail varnish remover might take some shine of the floor.
Any tips really appreciated other than advice me NOT to do it again, don't worry I have learn't my lesson .

Nail varnish remover might also take some of the colour up!
Plastic scraper, wielded very carefully? And being patient.0 -
2 solvents to try. White spirit and meths - between them these move a lot of sticker adhesives. You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0

Lakeland do a sticky stuff remover which I believe contains orange oil. It took the double sided tape off my wooden bedroom floor."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

I always use wd40 to remove sticky labels. It works well.0
